It’s time to celebrate mom and all that she does for us. My son has started picking flowers for me on his walk home from school, which is the sweetest thing. It shows that he is thinking about me when I’m not around, and he already knows that fresh flowers are the fastest way to a girl’s heart. A perfect beverage to pair with our chalk paint vase is some Tampico Beverages! The colorful flavors definitely inspired my son to serve up some fun and festive décor, and even inspired the color scheme for our vase.
My son likes to craft with paint, blocks, markers, and pipe cleaners. It is not hard for him to come up with unique ideas that spark imaginative play. Together with my husband, they broke out the paint and came up a kid-friendly idea that was a sweet way to incorporate my interests along with my son’s in a DIY project.
Our supplies included chalk paint, a paint brush, a recycled glass bottle, and block tape!
I like to collect mason jars and glass bottles. As a blogger, I seem to have several of them floating around my home. As a collector, I like the look and feel of them--especially vintage glass. I like to repurpose these items into vases and decor, and I was happy to have my son upcycle one of my old bottles. My son, of course, likes blocks and play figurines. Once you combine the two, you have a clever craft that is a sweet gift!
You can find adhesive block tape at many craft stores, and sometimes at your local grocery store when you shop for Tampico! I found all my supplies at the same place.
Once your vase is dry and the blocks are on, you’re ready to set up the vase! You can add letters, block flowers, mini figurines, whatever you can dream up. This vase was special since it shows off my son’s personality while still being a cute item for a gift.
And, of course, it is a fun color! Many thanks to Tampico Beverages for inspiring this fun project! With their brand refresh, the new logo and graphics really bring out the flavors of fun and make Tampico the perfect drink for all activities. Their mango punch has been a family favorite, and we appreciate their imaginatively curious message!
